Scope Recommendations

Looking for a lighter quality scope
At least 20x but would prefer at least 25.

The scopes I'm looking at are
Vortex AMG
Leaupold Mark 5 hd
Nightforce SHV
Nightforce NXS

Am I missing any other scopes on the lighter side? Around 30.0 oz and under

The Nightforce scopes are excellent but on the heavy side.
Look into the swarovski X5, excellent glass and quality and lighter than nightforce

Nightforce NXS 5.5 x 22 x 50 31 oz

Check out Nightforce's new NX8 in the 2.5-20x50 F1. Estimated price of ~$1900. They also have a 4-32x50 F1 for somewhere around $2200. Pretty sweet looking new release from them.

I stand corrected....sort of
Your comparing the Nightforce 50 mm front objective
to the swarovski 56mm front objective

apples to apples they both weight 32oz with the swaro going to 25x and the nightforce going to 22x

they are both excellent scopes

i think you are trying to so too much with one scope/one gun.
hunting should be on the light side, target can be heavy.
hunting does not need high power, target shooting needs high powder.
std of 1000 br is 15-55/12-42 nf or in that area.
no idea on hunting at 1000 (NOT A HUNTER), but probably 25 or less.
decide which is a priority and go from there.

I love the sightron scopes for the price I don't think they can be beat I'm a fan of the stac or siii series
