Oregon are you sure that's a bench gun? To me it looks a whole lot more like a 3 or four position competition rifle for things such as Biathlon the the endurance events in the spring/summer.

It would almost certainly be a great shooter and a lot of fun for anyone with a desire to have a near one of a kind in .308.

M62 was available in America in 1960 in 6.5x55 and 308. It was also used 3 position 300 meter events and 300 meter competition shooting. Thanks for the bump wild rose

I thought that's what it looked like. It would actually make a pretty practical hunting rifle once you got used to shooting it. Those stocks are fully adjustable and extremely comfortable as I recall and way lighter than what you'd expect from any bench gun.

Glad to help, I don't need it but something like that is worth a few bumps.
