I have a savage/anchultz .22 that has a trigger issue. It will fire occasionally when the large safety is pushed up. It is a model 54 sporter. Any suggestions.
Yes, find yourself a good gunsmith that knows triggers. Sitting around speculating about what might be "wrong" may just invite more trigger problems. Could be sear engagement, could be a a worn safety,,,,,, who knows without having the rifle (and trigger!) in hand. Any rifle that might fire when the safety is switched to 'fire' is an accident waiting to happen!
