Savage 220 slug gun scope

Just wondering what scopes you guys are putting on a savage 220 slug gun? Thanks.

Mine has a 3X9 Burris on it, but any reputable optics company in or about that range will be sufficient in my opinion. Good luck.

I thought I read somewhere that if you shoot a certain slug then a certain scope would have the drop reticle correct in it

I shoot 3 inch Accutips and never needed a Drop since I rarely shoot past 100 yards. In fact, I don't think I've ever shot past 75 or 80 yards.

I've got a 220 with a 3-10 NightForce SHV mounted on it. Sighted in at 100 with the AccuTips. Haven't shot it any further.

I've got a Leupold rifleman 3-9 with the bdc reticle on my 220. I have shot out to 200 with it and it's close enough for me. Like others my shots are under 100. I shoot the 3" accutip.

Yeah, Nikon years ago had a scope matched up to Hornady sabot with circle drops out to 200.

Nikon 3x9 BDC. If you go this route, you can use the Nikon SpotOn on ballistics app and it has the slugs to select and you can put in your velocity . mine worked out to 250 yards. But I never shoot past 75. I have mine bedded in a laminated stock. It shoots really well for a slug gun.
