Savage 14 ejection problems

Loaded some rounds for my new unfired savage. Loaded using three times fired brass, fl sized. I cycled a bunch of the loaded rounds to see how they would cycle, every so often the extractor isn't grabbing the rim of the brass. I just pull it back empty and have to tilt the rifle to get the round out. Seems to cycle factory rounds fine, which leads me to believe a problem with the fl sizing. Any thoughts?

It could be the sizing die is setting the shoulder back too far. You might try turning the out 1 full turn and see if that corrects the issue. The shoulder only needs to be set back enough to allow the cartridge to chamber.
