So this is the second stock that I've had that the rubber coating is peeling off. This particular stock I'd a factory replacement for the first and is brand new. Anyone else seeing this happen?

I saw one just like that on the used gun rack at one of our sporting goods stores. Looked to me like something went amok on the release agent they use to keep from sticking to the stock mold at manufacture.
Have you contacted Savage CS?

Yeah, I sent the first one back, hassle free gave me a new stock, appreciate that. This is the new one, no use at all. I've contacted them regarding this one, but I sure don't feel like I should have to pay the return shipping for this one... We'll see what they say.
