I have two MkIV pistols since November 2017 and both show to already be retrofitted per their serial number lookup. This recall must have been out awhile I'm assuming.

I have a MKIV - s/n begins with 500....., Delight to shoot & cleans up quick & easy but trigger not so good. I checked out Ruger site before I provided credit card info for purchase at remote location (Georgia) & shipping to LGS FFL (Montana). It's exremely reliable & accurate but some types of standard vel ammo won't cycle. I have seen folks show up at gunsmiths having a box containing Ruger MK I-III parts needing to be assembled. It's that hammer strut thingy - Ruger manual makes you feel like a dummy if you can't get it together again. Look for a "S" marked in the white safety position to see if a MK IV has been retro-fitted.

Take down is easy, it's the assembly that is a PITA, lol.
Love them though.
I had a MKII Target, now a MKIII Hunter. I would trade it for a MKIV Hunter, I think.
I put Tasco PDPS red dots on it, a Buckmark, a Neos, and a S&W 22A.
Fun to get a brick of 22 and a couple buddies and blast some cans.

This might work:

Probably not for MKII-III 22/45

Assembly in bad light for unaltered guns is horrible. Manual suggests holding gun at certain position and letting gravity position strut.
