Rosin and Sphur mount?

Do any of you who have the Sphur one piece mount use rosin inside the scope rings?

I wanted to check before I apply it. Thanks for the help.

The other question would be could I use scope tape that High Power Optics sells, and would it work on a 34mm Spuhr unimount. The instructions say to use rosin, but I'm just checking my options, or should I just mount the scope and not worry about it? This is on a 300 WM.
