On my 243 I removed the action and barrel from the stock to replace a trigger put it all back together . Went to the range , now this rifle was zeroed for 90g lapua scenar Bullets at 100 yards prior to changing the trigger , so I developed a new load with 95 grain Berger VLD using the same lapua brass used with the 90grain scenar . I chronographed both loads and the speed was almost the same with both loads at around 3095 and 3080 . When I shot the new load the 95 grains the rifle was not zeroed anymore it was shooting 1.5" high and 1.5 inch left . Was this due to Bullet weight change from 90gr to 95gr or was it from removing the action barrel from the chassis and may have sat in a slightly different location after reinstalling ?

What you have is a rifle, that's been taken apart, and it shoots two completely different bullets at different points of aim.
Welcome to the club!!:D

Pretty common especially if your rifle isn't bedded. Also I've seen different bullets but same weight have poi shifts of over 4-5". It's all about the harmonics and the load.

You changed everything (load-wise). Like different ammo.
A different trigger can change quite a bit also, because it affects primer striking.

Yes, the POI can change even if only the action screw torque is change. Always check. Good luck

Short list of things that can change POI.......................................EVERYTHING. That is all.

Really...... what if I change the barrel and install new sling swivels?
Should I re zero? Even if I'm using the same lead-sled? This is BS man!

A little info about barrel and stock might help. Check your torque on action screws and contact between barrel and stock. Check torque on scope mounts too. It's been one of those years for me. I had one rifle that had been dead on that wouldn't even hit paper and another throwing rounds almost 3 inches from the group. Both had contact between stock and barrel even with bedding. Another rifle I was about ready to tell Nightforce where they could stick their scope. They didn't feel loose at all, but where my rings connect to the rail needed almost 2 revolutions before reaching torque specs. Also your 2 loads might just have extremely different harmonics. Sometimes loads that are supposed to work just don't.
