Remington 9 1/2 M primers

I came across a pile (10k) of these for cheap so I bought them all.
Vacuum packed and stored very well.
What's anyone's experience with these as far as comparison to Federal,CCI Or Winchester?

Terrible. For a small fee I'll let you ship them to me for proper disposal.

P.S. Good primers. The only problem was when I bought some at a small shop about 25 years ago. They were dual anvil vs. triple.

I've never used the Rem 9 1/2 primer until this year. I have no complaints with them. I've even used them with 65 grs. of Retumbo powder in 270 wsm and they worked well in fact I had better accuracy then the federal mag primers. Temperature was 50 degrees.

9 1/2 and the 9 1/2 M
Used them alot years past.
At one time they were the 215 & M.
I will help you test them.

They work just fine! Used them for benchrest years ago (sr). Got about4k of them right now ( LR & LRM) and they work fine.

In all yours experience where do they fit in the ladder of ignition temps and cup hardness?

Also misfires !!
CCI is the worst for me so far!
Federal is the best
Winchester is in between

They tend to have somewhat softer anvils (about like Federals). Ignition is softer/milder than Win, but they tend to pressure out later too. Often can get a little more powder and velocity before pressuring out.

They are the coldest of all primers, poor ignition with these is evident of a dirty chamber, if it cleans up at higher loads, then you know you need a hotter primer.

..I've used basically nothing but 9 1/2's in every hunting firearm I own for 6 decades...not once did I ever have a misfire or issue any...from .243 to 416rm and just about everything imaginable in-between. great primers in my opinion..
