Good morning! Have you used any Reloader 17 in the 6.5 Creedmoor? Looking for data in the 130 to 142 grain range. Thanks 😊

Nosler has data for the 130's with R17 online. I'm assuming you have a bunch maybe. It's not a proffered powder in the creed. I have tried 16 but it was not as accurate as H4350 or as fast as R26. I have used 17 in other calibers. It was fast but sensitive to temp swings.

It is my preferred powder in the 6.5 creed. With 140 grainers out does H4350 by 50fps in a 22 inch barrel. Which isn't a lot. When I got my creed I couldn't find any H4350 so had to go with R17. Now H4350 is more available than R17.

With Vista canceling their contracted deliveries of RL series, good luck finding some.

Last 2 bottles that I saw were going for $95 each.

Fwiw H4350 is the original creed powder and was most accurate in all my testing. It is also very temp stable. R16 was faster by about 50 fps and R26 100 fps faster. Yeah I know it's a unicorn right now.

I got excellent accuracy with R17, But, and a big But, it burns very hot. Three shots and you can cook on your barrel. Hunting only it would be ok. Any bench shooting I'd worry about burning the lead prematurely. Just my experience. Plus it's going to be very difficult to find.

For moderate climates, AA4350 is one heck of a powder for the 6.5 Creed & 6.5x47 Lapua with 140s with a tad slower burning rate.
I've been shooting more Accurate powder in the last couple of years. Excellent power, and usually available at reasonable prices.
