Reloader 17 or IMR 4350 for 6.5 Creedmoor?

For a hunting rifle, I would try RL 17. It could be 100 FPS faster than IMR4350 and with no pressure signs. RL 17 has a long power curve, not a short spike like some 4350 powders. It is temp sensitive though. Best to work up the load in warmer weather. In my ballistics app, I use 1.2 FPS as my temp speed correction for RL 17. That has worked well for me. Had great accuracy with RL 17 also. I use H4350 and RL 17 in my Creedmoor. Both with 140 Gr bullets.

Have Fun!

Thanks Barrelnut, this is the info I was looking for. I plenty of both powders, but have heard RL 17 gives better velocity. People claim H4350 is the perfect powder for the Creedmoor, so naturally I thought IMR 4350 would be a good choice. But I would definitely enjoy the velocity that RL 17 seems to produce.

So.... I'm going to start with RL 17 and see what i have....
