Howdy all, regrettably I may have to relocate from a free state to California later this year. Just found out that all of my lead core ammo is not allowed for hunting in CA. Any one have experience with a good off the shelf hunting round with copper bullets? I won't be shooting beyond 400 yards.

Barnes loads the 338 RUM - 250 gr LRX. Not sure if you'll be able to find it in stock though.

Copper Creek can load 338 RUM if you'd like them to. This could open the possibilities for using a Barnes copper or Nosler E-tip.

Double Tap ammo loads 338 as well, but looks to be out of stock at the moment.
