Recharger 300 wm to 270 wsm

A question to the group:

One of my rifles is a factory Winchester M70 in 300 wm. It's a great rifle but my main issue is the magazine box, I can only load a few thousandths past SAMMI specs.

Now with the new berger 270 170 grain bullet I thought that this might be the ticket.

Other than a barrel swap what else would I need to do to make this work? Is there a particular gunsmith you would recommend?

I'm not confident I have all the answers you need because I don't have all the pieces my self, but I know the feed lips have to be modified to feed it properly and I haven't gotten any cases yet to test the oal in a standard 300 win mag length mag box, these 170 gr bullets are loooooooong . Are you planning to build on the saami spec or on a 28 nosler case? Wish I had more info, but I don't have all my pieces yet sry

I can tell you that the max coal a 300wm model 70 magazine box can handle is ~3.365".
