I'm looking for a bipod, mainly for bench shooting but I plan to swap it to my hunting rifle once or twice a year. I've got a $50 crapwell that serves a purpose, I guess. But it seems like the next jump up that isn't the same thing but a little longer is to the 300-stupid range.
I
s there anything in the middle worth while?
Or is a $400 bipod actually worth it?

Hard to beat a Harris for the money anymore. Tried and true easy to adjust. Never had any problem with them. Outside of that you could try an Atlas should come in under 300. More stable, doesn't have the the play that a Harris has. I'm sure there is a lot more out there under 200 bucks or cheaper, just never used anything else.
