Okay I finally got the RCBS 338 Lapua dies and the shellholder. Tumbled 50 cases today, lubed them and that´s it: The shellholder #37, new in the tiny plastic bag that says works for 416 Rigby and 338 Lapua does not accept my Lapua brass.Fired or unfired. Very funny. The stamps in the holder are correct too, well,my brass can´t read and simply doesn´t fit in.

I wonder if I should return the $110 dies as well, takes forever to get a replacement anyway.

Try the #14, it is the primary one for the 338 Lapua. They list the #14 then the #37 and say that the first one is the most popular and the alternative one might need to be used with different lots or manufacturer of brass.

Hey,thanks for the quick reply!

I didn´t check anything, just assumed my dealer gets the right one... now, they better have the other one in stock... which I doubt because I had to wait for this one for a looong time. Grr.

Thanks a lot anyway, now I can inform my gunshop again.

Yes, Wayne McD is correct. You need the #14.
I ran into the same problem.

Okay, thanks again. Strange that RCBS homepage doesn´t tell that yet.

Not in stock... I took .003" away from the belt part with a Dremel and that fixed it.
