RCBS competition die set up

I'm pretty new to the reloading scene and I think I've done well with my 280 redding dies, but I have a RCBS 22-250 comp die and I am unable to get my chucker to overcam on the base. It seems the shell holder isn't long enough as my locking nut will not hold w/ the depth of my die. Has anyone ran into this?

My next move is to get a new set screw; it looks like its starting to strip. I hope this helps me torque it down.
