RCBS Chargmaster 1500 issue

Hi, just found the forum. My question is about an RCBS 1500 Chargmaster that does not always dispense automatically after I replace the powder pan on the platform. Does sometime, and sometimes not. I do not store any loads in memory, just use it as a powder disp. unit.

Call RCBS. They will either tell you how to reprogram, or you send it to them.

Maybe your pan is too light?
You'll need a solid zero point for auto-dispense to know you're at a solid zero.

If its programmed to auto-dispense, it wont kick on until the scale gets back to zero. Maybe try to let it warm up before using it then run a calibration on it before you start. Then zero out the scale with the pan on it. Try removing the pan then replacing a couple times to ensure it comes back to zero. If it does, you should be able to program the load you want and get to work. If you still have trouble with it not kicking on automatically for you, I'd call RCBS as they may need to take a look at it.

ive noticed mine returns to zero and it thinks for a second, but it always dispenses when on auto.
