Ramshot LRT in 7PRC

Is the temperature sensitivity noticeable? Are we talking like a .5 moa poa shift or are the wheels falling off if it gets a little cold?
I get my data from this chart

Afternoon All,

I am wanting to test some Ramshot LRT in 7mmPRC, has anyone done any testing with this powder with a 175gn class bullet yet?

would love to hear what you are seeing with this powder..

Thanks
I have and it is working better than H1000 and Retumbo. 175gr Nosler ABLR 3.300" 78.0gr RamShot LRT 26" barrel 89 degrees 3,140 fps. SUB-MOA. Wanting to get my hands on some RL25 or RL26 and see how it does.

@jshepherd61 I know it's only been a month or two. Are you still using LRT? Is the load holding up over time?

I started load work up with LRT and 180ELD-Ms, but after shooting 74.5 to 76.5gr groups in half gr increments, it seems really picky. IE: one hole groups at 75.5 and completely blown out 1/2gr either side. I'm planning to push harder to see what happens, since I have not hit pressure yet. I sure hope to see something much more stable than what I've seen so far.

My load is working great but not pushing it! Yes it is very similar to IMR 8133 as far as finding the spot and yes goes to crap on both sides. Not sure what causes that? But works great if you find the node.

I don't plan to push it "hard". I'm already over book, but not seeing any pressure at all. Highest I've gone is 1.5gr lower than your load (granted different bullet). And it looks like 76.5 is starting to come back together so I want to test up.

My concern with these skinny nodes is temp swings pushing out of the node. I shoot in 100° swings. Also, I've never seen blow outs this bad. 2x or 3x blow out, sure. This is something like a 100x group size either side... also, all groups besides one are bigger than the worst group from seating depth testing which was done with a different powder.

Maybe premature concern. I still have to verify load and push to pressure.

More to the point of this thread. I confirmed the above 75.5gr load today and it proved to remain stable.

77gr did not come back together.

I did put 2 rounds through a chronograph
75.5 under a 180ELDM at 3.33"oal from an 18" barrel.
Shot 1) 2737
Shot 2) 2737

I don't know that I've ever had 2 rounds in a row read exactly the same velocity, but it begs more testing.

I got kinda distracted and post details on another 7PRC thread, but I think I'm probably done with LRT. The same 75.5gr load this morning blew out and showed pressure signs. The only variable I can think of is that it was about 15° hotter this morning than it was previously.

I love the speed, but can't handle that kind of instability in these Texas temp swings.

Yesterday, I shot the 175 ABLR with LRT, ADG brass, CCI 34 primers, and 3.300" COL.
78.4 gr - 2997 fps (3/4" group)
78.8 gr - 3013 fps (1/2" group)
79.2 gr - 3020 fps (1" group)
79.6 - 3054 fps (1" group)
80.0 gr - 3039 fps (1" group)

No pressure signs with any load. I'm going to stay with 78.8 gr. It provides over 3500 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle. This load will travel with me to South Africa.

Happy shooting!!
