Anyone know a good starting point for this load combo? Berger has some info with their 135g Classic Hunter. Velocity looked impressive with the Berger data.

I am asking about the 143 eldx. Sorry for the confusion. For the sake of clarity, are you asking about the 135 Berger or the 143 ELDX?
Thanks for the information!!! This gives me a starting point to work up from. My components are hornady brass, fed gold medal match primers and r-26 obviously. Rifle is a savage 10-t with a 24" 5-R barrel. Not sure on coal yet. Haven't gotten to check yet. If this gun is like the other savages I've worked with I won't be much over standard length.http://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/reloder-26.172482/page-6 Post #83
This was my testing with Hornady 143 ELDX bullets in my 6.5 Creedmoor.
26" barrel Nosler brass BR2 Primers 2.890"OAL
I tested with a Magnetospeed installed. Three shot groups.
46gr. 2872 fps average vel. ES 13 SD 6.5
46.5gr 2908 fps average vel. ES 6 SD 3
47gr 2939 fps average vel. ES 10 SD 5.5
47.5gr 2954 fps average vel. ES 11 SD 5.85
48gr 2999 fps average vel. ES 12 SD 6.6
Although the 48.5 and 49 grain load showed no pressure signs, according to the velocity Quick Loads shows them as over pressure.
48.5gr 3029 fps average vel. ES 13 SD 6.65 (QL 66,678 psi)
49gr 3054 fps average vel. ES 19 SD 9.6 (QL 69,485 psi)
You may want to start lower than 46 maybe 44 or 45 depending on case and oal you go with, and watch velocity closely I will list QL values for Hornady case and average COAL with 24" barrel bellow for you, as a reference. Also note that I am also listing it with the default values for RL26. Note the velocity and compare it to the velocity on chart as that will be your pressure line.

Start low work up slowly, if you gave me more info on your setup I would run the numbers for you, Case brand and H2O capacity, COAL as well as your barrel length. Lot to lot powder variation can only be told by velocity obtained. Velocity is also affected by chamber (H2O will allow for adjustment) and tight(higher vel) or loose (slower vel) barrel.
I'm shooting the same rifle and working up the same load, plus 140 ELD-M. I'll post up what I get. Thanks for the information!!! This gives me a starting point to work up from.
