I've been using Transfast Aniline Dye. Mixes with water, and is pretty easy to use.

It is so nice to see true artistry on a custom rifle these days, I miss the days when a true custom rifle included burl and fiddleback, the only thing that could possibly make a gun better would be that would on a light weight sportter and a classic style stock, that way when the huntings no good I have a thing of beauty to admire
