What ever happen to the factory that was going to start up and make primers in Texas? This was big news about 2 years ago.

Expansion Industries was the company, the last I had saw was that they had laid off some staff and put a hold on equipment orders early this summer. However, I have yet to see anything since.
But Fiocchi bought some land in Arkansas and the small pistol primers I have used from them have been great.

Expansion industries was the name. I tried to contact them, but they were only shipping samples to dealers and writers. That was ten months ago.
Thank you, even if it was depressing to read.

I've used lots of the small pistol and small rifle primers back in my 3 gun days. I probably burned through around 60k of them combined. Definitely more pistol primers than rifle, but I can't recall any problems with them. With that said I never bothered messing with ES/SD to see if a different primer was better. All of my shooting with them was 200 yards max, generally at C-zone steel. Not exactly a high accuracy demand. However with a 1-6 optic on the rifle it wasn't too bad holding 1.5 moa at 200.
