I've loaded on my Rockchucker for over 40 years. I got it as a Birthday gift from my siblings. The only other press I would think of buying would be the Forster CoAx, because I would not have to re-adjust the seating and sizing dies when switching them out. But i still haven't pulled the trigger on one.

Yeah, their products are top notch. I have the comparator set, and it's perfect. I've been eyeballing their stuff for years.

I still have my RCBS Jr. IIRC, it was built in the early 1970s.

I think every press, or style of press has its areas it excellent in. I have 3 rcbs, a co-ax, and a dillon 650. After awhile it seems I load certain cartridges on different presses. I like each one for different things. I was going to get rid of my RCBS Ammo master, but I love the leverage for forming wildcats and large cartridges.

I have a Partner, Rock Chucker, Hood, Area 419 Zero (Gen1) and SAC Nexus. The Hood press is the most consistent press. YMMV

The Area 419 press is a turret press, that's all they make. Its fantastic, an absolute joy to use. I have 2 turrets both filled with dies. Makes going from reloading one cartridge to another simple and fast. Precision is great, functionality is great. Puts a smile on my face. So much better than the RCBS Summit press I was using its worth every dime! The Summit is now delegated to removing primers and walnut shell from the primer pocket.

Real world tangible.....Buddy wanted to try my equipment for reloading to see if it was worth the money before he upgraded from a Hornady press, Hornady match dies, RCBS 1500 Chargemaster.

After using my Forster, AutoTrickler IV and Type S FL diie with Forster Ultra Micrometer seater, his ES went from 57 to 11fps and groups went from .8" to .355" ish.

I can't say for sure...the biggest thing I reload for is a 300WSM, it handles that just fine. I will definitely ask tomorrow and get back with you.

We like the RCBS Chucker so much that we now have (4) of them. One mounted for:
Hydro Forming
Pointing
Sizing
Seating

Just got a reply from Matt Owens the maker of the Hood press....His words..

"The opening is 2.5", but a little longer case will fit. Tipped forward then slide into the shell holder.
I know one guy sizing and loading his .338Lapua on the 2 die version."
