Killed mine with a 6.5 creedmoor and 147 eldm. I DON’T recommend this bullet. Hit him in the shoulder with no penetration. Took a 2nd shot in the neck and disconnected him, but no exit. I mean, how big can the neck be??
both shots @ 220ish.

I currently average 4 miles of walking a day and 20 flights of stairs a day, so I at least have a start on the walking bit. I live just outside Palo Duro Canyon, so I’m going to start training there when I can. I’ll look into the wool shirt. Thanks!
That Palo Duro canyon hunt is a tough one! We hunted really hard and gave it 110 percent. Didn’t get a shot at the sheep but I did get to shoot a hog. Seen a bunch of big mulies too.

I have read and read about those drawn hunts, I have yet to see anything about points. Not sure how I missed that part, I guess I will read some more.

They are loyalty points, not preference points. IE if you have 4 points, that's 4 entries into the draw. So it's a lottery and everyone has a chance.

I've been pretty lucky.

I got an email from TPWD concerning the drawings being done and that they will start again for the next season. So the the more times you contribute you get another entry? Like a raffle ticket?
