Prayers are Needed Please

I have been touched by this issue too. It has been 5 years, and I still miss him and think of him daily. A song, a place with a memory attached, a movie or TV show, a common friend.

Remember the great times. Gain solace by knowing his struggles and pain are over.

When I finally see him again, I am going to punch him in the face, then hug him until he can't feel his arms.

I hear you. Want to tell him I Love him. That would be after I pick myself up once he punches me back. We all need to tell those we care for how blessed we are why we still can. We can't replace those we've lost, but we can stand together in prayer whose pain is so raw.

I pray this be a help to you.

He Giveth More Grace
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added affliction He addeth His mercy;
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father's full giving is only begun.
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow'r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

I want to say thanks to everyone for the support and prayers. I know many of you are wondering what happened and why I have been mia. I'll give a short version.

On June 29th my oldest son committed suicide. He had fought that demon all of his life and finally lost the battle. He was a great young man and loved by more people than I can count. He was also one of my best friends. He will be greatly missed.

Thanks again, very much.
Steve,

Again, I am heartily sorry for your loss. As with many of us here, we cannot imagine what you and your family went through. A few years ago, my nephew (an only child) did the same thing while still in high school.

That same here, I was part of a suicide review panel because we lost two Airmen in 2 weeks. It comprises members from various specialties and life experiences to include subject matter experts from the mental health community. I am no subject matter expert or have an answer, but this demon is no laughing matter.

Please be strong; continued prayers for you and your entire family circle. God bless.

Ed
