Which Powder brand is your favorite.

The only powders I use are IMR and Hodgdon. My best results have been hodgdon. Have most people had better luck with there extreme powder series or is this just hype.

I like H4831. I've tried others but I always come back to this powder. Probably cuz I can buy the stuff for $4/# from my dad who bought a couple hundred pounds of the stuff back in '68. With the price of powder always going up it's pretty hard to argue over a few fps when the critter on the recieving end won't notice the difference.

Hodgdon - Retumbo, Varget, H1000 and Ramshot- Magnum.

Like the H stuff a lot. Use H4831 and Varget primarily. H4831 shoots just a little better in my 270 than I4831.

RL-19, IMR 4831 & Ramshot Magnum are go to powders right now, just starting to play with Retumbo in my 338 RUM.

I have found that the Hodgdon Evtreme powders seem to do a little better for me down in AZ. We can see some real swings in temps during the day and these powders just seem to deliver consistently lower sd's.
