Has there been a discussion in the past on powder scales? I decided to start weighing my muzzleloader charges. Yes, I will measure by volume first! So my question is, which ones are good, which ones are worth the higher prices, what's the best all around value. Thanks guys.

I just had a RCBS 505 tuned by scott parker. The thing is magic. Ive talked about it a time or 2 here, and several times elsewhere... but heres the short version. it came back with about 1,000,000 times the sensativity it did before. one granule of any of the extruded powders will immediately move the poise. Using a trickler, and a magnifying glass, I can see see a granule of H414 ( a ball/flake powder) land in the pan. its also worth noting, that the thing stabalizes just as fast, if not a bit faster than it did before I sent it. its not like an undamped scale at all.
This scale can see the weight tolerance in every other scale I own. RCBS chargemaster, RCBS 750 the ancient redding un damped scale from 1831( or so it seems) Weigh something on the chargemaster, throw it on the parker tuned scale, see where it points, repeat, different spot... over and over. Weigh the same charge over and over, and with a magnifying glass, I can't see any differance.
The 505 is cheaper, but I understand he makes the 10-10s sing!
Tuneing the 505 was just under $30, and that $30 was the best $ I ever spent on a scale.

I can't figure out how else to say it but to say that for the foressable future, I will never again be weighting powder on an scale he hasn't tuned.

OK, abinok,
Who is Scott Parker and how do I get in touch with him? I have a 10-10 I wouldn't mind getting tuned.
