I was playing with my ballistic calculator today and I typed in my old load with 185g bergers at 3200fps vs my current 210g at 2700fps.. I've always believed bigger is better
I maybe crazy but my calculator shows the 185 being better out to 1000 for my gun. I shoot a 300wsm
The 185 show retaining 1786fps and 1310 ft-lbs at 1000yards vs the 210's retaining 1576 fps and 1159 ft-lbs. Are my numbers off or is the 185 really a better choice for me?!? Can someone explain plz? I haven't compared the numbers until now but I assumed the 210 would have more energy down range

Sorry my numbers were off my old load with the 185's was only 3000 fps not 3200 >.< I guess that what I get for not looking at my books while playing with the calculator haha.. @3000fps its only 1079ft-lbs at 1000yards
