So I'm thinking of jumping in . I'm looking for sources of info on the process of the purchase and whether to put into a trust . I know the saying "google it " but I tend to never find good info that way . I'm not looking for recommendations for a suppressor or caliber or anything like that , or direct info ( unless you want to ) . Just a place so I can read it and possibly understand it . Thank you .

I agree....call silencer central, they do all the work. I have multiple suppressors, when I buy a new one....they have the trust already. The last suppressors i got was 54 days from filling out paperwork till I had my suppressors. I was shocked...even had them before last years deer season in iowa. I was used to 15 months waiting

I would go Silencer Shop if buying. So easy! Find one of their kiosks in your area and you do prints through it and take a pic with your phone and then they hold your info so you can come back later and buy again easily. I bought my first can in about 14 years from them in January and the whole process took about 2 weeks. My can was approved in 24 hours. I just bought my second about two weeks ago, certified on Monday afternoon and it was approved Tuesday afternoon. I picked it up today. The process is super easy.

As to the trust, if you will be sharing it with someone then go trust but mine are all individual. I see no need for a trust with my use. My buddy on the other hand went trust with him and his son so they can share it. Works for them.

Trust, yes! I just received my second suppressor today from Silencer Central and it was ordered on January 31st (40 days👍). The first one took about nine months but fingerprints had to be done and mailed and the trust set up, etc. Once your trust is established, subsequent suppressors will be processed faster plus the feds are stepping it up of late.

My buddy and his son with the trust got their suppressor in about 2 weeks from Silencer Shop. That was them starting from nothing. They got their trust through Silencer Shop while they were buying the can. Fingerprints are done at the kiosk in about 10 minutes and uploaded to your file. They really make it easy. They keep it all on file so you can easily buy again too.

My son runs a gun shop, they have a Silencer Shop kiosk. All our suppressors are on a trust. Makes it a lot better if you share firearms. Also have my wife on, protects her if something happens to me or she needs to use one. They can answer any of your questions. They are still seeing times on most everyone less than a week. Supply is the problem.

I have used Silencer Shop and have been very pleased with the whole process. Very easy and simple. I used the single shot trust on my first can but now am going to be going to a traditional trust to add my wife for reasons already stated in previous replies. Traditional trust is what wish I would have done in the first place. Especially if you plan on having multiple NFA items.

Capital Armoury is also a great option!

Silencer Central screwed me on two cans, they came without the proprietary brakes. Hence, I couldn't use them when I got them. I had to purchase two off of GB at 130 apiece. If you buy a Banish from them, ask if they have brakes. Silencer shop got my email wrong, it's been six months and they just got it figured out. NOW the wait begins. I don't believe in luck I believe in Jesus but this happens to me all the time.

I am confused by your comment. You reference being 'screwed'. I know that term has multiple meanings. Did you mean that they came with direct thread mounts that need to be 'Screwed on'? If you are talking about the other kind of 'screwed', there are rules against that in our forum. It sounds like maybe you didn't do enough research into what you were buying. You also mentioned that you couldn't 'use them' (assuming you mean 'use the suppressors', which would suggest that you have them. What 'wait' starts after you have your suppressors? Just curious.

As others have mentioned. I just got my first suppressor through local dealer who had SilencerShop kiosk. Whole process was about 5 days from start to finish. They make it a 'one stop shop'!
