Been considering a suppressor for some time now but dont know where to start.
I like the less noise, blast and recoil, Iget tired of the blast from the brakes I currently shoot.
Used for target, varmit and possible hunting applications.
Can 1 suppressor be used on multiple rifles? size? brand? weight? long or short barrel?

just looking for a little insight,

thanks

Yes you can and you see a lot of people using 6.5 suppressors on everything they have from 6.5 down and some even go to a .30 cal suppressor and use that on everything from .30 cal down. You'll always give up a little sound reduction when the hole is bigger than it needs to be but for some, giving up a small amount of noise reduction to save a lot of money is well worth the trade.

As good as some of these newer 6.5 cans are, if I were doing it all over again, I'd have never bought a .223 specific can and would have went straight to a 6.5 can and used that on everything 6.5 and under or maybe looked at going with a .30 cal can and used that on everything .30 cal and under. Sure would have saved myself a lot of money, that's for sure.

I'm partial to Thunder Beast Arms Company suppressors but I've got a couple SAS cans and a Dead Air can that are currently in ATF jail I'm impatiently waiting on, too.

When you're making your selection on picking out a suppressor, try not to get caught up in manufacturers Db ratings. Spend the $$$ to purchase a top quality suppressor and you'll be a happy camper.

I will caution you to one VERY important thing to consider, relating to shooting with a suppressor. Once you shoot something suppressed, it's like letting the genie out of the bottle, there's no going back you'll be ruined from ever shooting anything unsuppressed again! lol

thanks for the input. It would be sweet to have 1 "muffler" for the whole fleet or maybe 2. 1 for the big stuff and one for the small.
I guess I just need to ask about and see who might be willing to let me shoot one.
Then I feel it will be off the the bank.LOL

yes sir.
IF you want to use it multiple rifles you'll need to get it to cover the largest cal.
Like 30cal can cover 300WM and Down.
to include 308, 6.5, 243, 556, even 22LR.
With rime fire you get a lot of carbon and lead, so you would have to clean the suppressor more often.
I personally prefer not to shoot 22lr thru my center fire cans.

Feel free to call me at 816-718-9489. We can have a short conversation and clear up all your questions.
thanks
