You can probably take a guess from my handle, but I am a Inupaiq Eskimo born and raised in Alaska with a lil Mexican heritage I learned of along the way. My favorite days almost always have and will consist of targeting, hunting, fishing, riding, and many things along these lines.
Not to much longer, and I will be replacing the Stevens model 200 in .308win I traded for collage money with a Ruger American in 30-06. I could use some recommendations on a good $300-$400 scope for what I am hoping to range to 100-400 yards while hunting. So any tips? I may also try get into reloading with a friend to range my bullet weights and payloads for smaller game back up to grizzly

Pedro, welcome to the forum. Try the custom search top right for scope reviews, they are very informative. Good luck

Welcome to LRH! Recommending a particular scope is difficult because everyone has different needs & preferences. Also, due to the differences in our eyes, what works well for one, might not work well for another. I'd say that in the $400 range you should be able to find a good scope for your 100-400 yard needs. Leupold, Vortex, Bushnell, Burris, etc. will all serve you well. If possible, try to look through them before deciding.

Thanks. Will figure out the set up here soon enough and start searching through once I get away from bad internet and the iPhone, but I'm yet to see a qaulity Bushnell or any Leupold be a bad buy yet. Figuring any 3-9 or 4-12 with good glass will serve me well. Il check around to make sure I find a Op suit and make sure I don't get cheap glass for my buck
