I am getting ready to paint my black synthetic stock Digtial Camo. I want to include black in the color scheme. I know you are supposed to start by painting the whole thing with the lightest color as a base, but if its already black do I put the stencils on the bare stock first then start with the lighter colors or add a black coat later with stencils?

Paint the lightest base color first, then move forward with the other colors.

If you don't paint the base color, then the stock will look funny because the black areas will be clearly 'not painted'
