Ozonics for hog hunting

Has anyone successfully used an Ozonics unit for hog hunting? I've got the chance to get one dirt cheap and thought about getting it.

I hunt hogs on a friend's property, and all of the setup spots are to the west of the bait pile. The prevailing wind in this part of SC is from the west to the east, so I don't get favorable wind patterns very often.

I know that hogs have an incredible sense of smell, so I was wondering of the Ozonics unit would fool them.

From what I hear from friends they work amazing ive been very tempted to get one for bear and deer also.

I have not used one, but I have to doubt the proclaimed results people say that they get for a product where they have no way of actually knowing whether the product is working for them or if they are just having good circumstances. I know people make all sorts of proclamations about miracle hog attractants, LOL.

The bottom line is that ozone does work, but for it to work, it needs to be in a concentration that is decidedly unhealthy for people and the ozonics machine does not produce such concentrations of ozone.

If it is cheap, give it a shot, but ask yourself, why is it so cheap?

A friend of a friend had the tranny in his pickup go out. I wouldn't spend that much on a new unit. I try to play the wind and know that I won't see anything towards where my scent carries.

Think we are all on the same page for once. Lol every time I hear someone say they have the best deer attracting bait I try it and nothing. Now ive had things work great for me on multiple occasions but never works for others. I hear guys say ozonics work amazing but they also wear scent loc suits so maybe both in conjunction work but at that point which product is doing it. I have seen my scent loc work wonders so I'm not sure ozonics would do any more.

I have a friend of mine that chases large bucks in SE MN. Its all bluff country and the wind is constantly swirling. He has tried everything and just hunt the wind doesnt help much in that country unless you hunt the ridge tops but the bucks are always running in the bottoms. He took a chance and bought one. He only hunts stands, not blinds. He swears by them. He has one wherever he goes now. I have seen videos of blinds set up intentionally upwind of bait for hogs and the guys with Ozonics doing well. I have not gotten one as I am still concerned about the safety aspect. Nose Jammer works well for deer. Not sure about hogs though.

I can tell you this: the Ozonics has fooled a deer's nose at 15 yds while bow hunting. I'm about to test it on a hog this week. Bait pile west of my blind with an east wind. Busted consistently without Ozonics. We'll see

Well this is an old thread but I purchased an ozonics and it does indeed work fantastic. I have some blinds you can only hunt when the wind is in one direction and I am able to use them to test the ozonics. Amazing is all I can say they walked right in being down wins on several occasions now.
