I had the opportunity to shoot a 6mm ARC that was built on an AR platform. I was totally impressed upon the accuracy and with the authority that this little round had when hitting steel at 300 yards. And… there was no recoil whatsoever. I really am not an AR guy, but building one of these keeps running through my mind every so often. The guy who owns the AR doesn't shoot his rifles much, and swaps them out frequently. I'm hoping he is going to part with his ARC, because I will own it.6mm ARC? In a bolt gun like the Howa mini action, you can probably run a 105gr Berger VLDH at 2750fps with a nice short barrel and minimal recoil. Suppresses very nicely as well. I have one in an AR platform and shoot the 105s at 2605fps. Very economical to shoot and is plenty for a deer. Just a thought. Otherwise if that doesn't work for you I'd vote 6 creedmoor.
