All my scopes are 4.5-28 power and I've killed dozens of bulls almost all on 4.5 power from 100 to 1200 yards
Opinions on optimal magnification for hunting out West

I have purchased a 3x18x50mm in a 34mm tube. It's on a 6mm/280AI rifle. It's for longer shooting at P. dogs. Hopefully I get to use it sometime this year. Have a lot of work to get set up to work out a load for the rifle.
I guess age is catching up with me, I need to go full power.
