old SKS stock ID questions

hey guys, I recently came across an old SKS stock. it has a serial number of 478247 on it, but no receiver or anything. no other factory markings that I see (except for two small M's about 1in away from each other on the inside of the stock)

I can't find enough info online to see if this is a Chinese, Yugo, etc.

its in pretty rough shape, some moron used a knife and etched in some unreadable word on the side) just curious what exactly I have, and is it worth anything to anyone

Could be a chinese SKS-M of the stock is similar to a sporting stock. Check with the SKS guys here.
