Imagine it spectacular up here.... but it's 500 miles to open sky and not much dark this time of year.

We watched it for about 5 minutes and it went out of sight.
You could see something like chunks burning up, something like I would imagine a comet would do. Pretty crazy to see

Well, I can hear owls "hooting"….I see stars….and the moon, but, alas, no lights.

Try turning on your phone camera and see what image it will show you. You may only see whitish light, or light streaks and rays with a naked eye, or maybe almost nothing on the northern horizon or overhead, but the phone camera sees it differently and will show you colors and swooshes or rays if the lights are visible. Zoom in on a smaller view if it is too dark. If the lights are there you should be able to see pinks, greens, and streaks of both.
