New-to-me Sako L691 recoil lug

My L691 (1992) is the most modern Sako I have owned and I am unfamiliar with the recoil lug setup. I intend to epoxy bed the barrel-to-action juncture but want to make sure I'm not locking the floating lug in place... or do I bed it into the stock permanently? It is a 7mm mag but has no thru bolt recoil reinforcement and I don't want to add one so I'm wondering if locking the lug to the stock is a good alternative?. Thanks for any insights provided.

No experience with that action, but I believe it's the type with action screw thru the lug?
