New Rifle - Seeking Favorite 25'06 Recipes

Morning Guys, through some trading I am now the proud owner of a new ,(to me) Savage 25'06. This is the 3rd or 4th 25 that I have owned, and I have enjoyed all of them. It has been some time since I have loaded for the quarter bore so was looking for some favorite loads in the 110 and 117/120 bullet weights. It will be used as my deer rifle next year. Thanks in advance for your assistance, and look forward to some time on the range dialing her in.

Mine shot best with 51.0grs of IMR-4350 with 117 and 120gr bullets.

52 gr IMR 4831 115 Nosler BT has been a great load for mine. Shooting at 3100 fps this combo has killed a bunch of critters

115 gr vldh with a stout load of retumbo gets me 3250fps. Drop verified and chrono.

Modern powders are the best. StaBall HD, Remshot magnum, & Superformance can exceed 3100 out of a 24 inch. I have a 26 inch.

I never seemed to get the bang flop using 117 and 120's on antelope or deer until I went to 100's.

StaBall 6.5, StaBall HD, superformance get the 100 BT smokin at over 3300 and really do the DRT

26" Ruger #1 in 25-06

90gr Absolute Hammer over 57.0gr of RL16 over CCI BR2.

3611 fps and shoots under an inch. 3 shots fired at deer, 3 dead deer with 1 bang flop and the other 2 dropping after a very short spiral death run.

I always ran IMR4350 with 117 Sierra GameKings in mine, don't remember the charge but it was low 50's and not pushing at all, as I remember it wasn't much over starting charge but it would stack bullets. Never once got a bang flop on deer or elk but recovered every deer and elk shot with it, I shot a rail car load of coyotes and wild dogs running game with it and it would put them straight down. I was never a big fan of 25-06 after using it a while, but that rifle had a really really good trigger and was so dependably accurate that I shot it quite a bit, probably over 400 rounds on prairie dogs through elk.

I have always shot IMR 4350 and 100 grain ballistic tips and it is a death ray on whitetail deer here in Georgia

Sierra 117 grain with 52 grains of H4831. Has worked well on Whitetail, Mule deer and Pronghorn.
