This has probably been covered extensively on this forum but I have done a bit of a search to no avail.

Any starting loads for a 24 inch barrel appreciated.

140 grn Accubonds and 110 grn V-max, Winchester cases, WLRM primers. Will be starting with AR2209/IMR4350 powder.

I love my 270WSM ... Loads I like 68.6-69.5 of Re#19 behind 110 V-max for about 3,500 in 60+ days. Magpro is proving to be a good burner so 71.3grs of it behind 150 gr Speer or Nosler Boatails. BUT WORK UP TO THESE LOADS. I have found that maximum loads( Well into the red zone) are all that my rifle likes. Also my rifle likes the bullets jammed into rifling. With these loads I can easily hit a basketball size target at 20 yards all day long.

Wow. I can only aspire to reach such levels of accuracy. Through hard work and dedication I hope to get there one day!

But seriously with the Speer bullets I have been getting under 3/4MOA (100 yards)last trip to the range. No I didn't shoot 5 groups of 5 shots to come up with a 3/4 MOA. Maybe I'll try that next trip. These loads chronny over 3,100 FPS .I just ordered some Berger 150gr VLD looking forward to trying those out. My rifle is a Winchester Mod 70 Classic laminate I had a bedding job and Timney trigger installed.

I too loaded up some 270 WSM rounds with MagPro. I did it cause I could dump them to get a batch of chamber-formed brass to work up my real loads; however, 69gr of MagPro and 150 Speer SP and Nosler BTs shoot to the same hole.

My brother is trying to get a hog shot with this combo to see how he likes the bullet's performance. Time will tell. . . .

I don't have any. There is no point to go any further. With MagPro you can dump and go. Have not chrono'd the load, but off of the drops, it is in the 3100 fps range.

I use 69.5 grains and get an average muzzle velocity of 3100 out of a Tikka T3 lite.

I tried numerous bullets & powder in my sako, settled on 130 scirocco and65 gr rx 19 with cci 250 in rem cases. Shoots real well and the bullet will hold together.

I hve recently done some work with my .270wsm. It has a shillen #8 contour select match grade barrel finished at 26 but with brake it is 28. I have found it shoots the best with rl 19. specifically i use 64.5 gr of rl-19 seated to 2.345, or 5 thou off the lands and grooves with a nosler 13-0 gr ballistic tip. It shoots at an average velocity of 3263 fps with a es of 18. here are some pics. not sure this will help but good luck and let me know if you i can help further.
