New Rifle - Seeking Favorite 25'06 Recipes

50 grains + or - IMR 4831, 117-120 grain Sierra GameKing bullets. I have used this load on many deer over twenty some odd years and have yet to have any bad things to say about the efficiency of the load. If I do my part, it will shoot ten rounds into a very small one hole group. I have some Barnes bullets but have been so completely happy with the Sierra bullets that I am a little wary of trying any other load combination.

110 AB with Retumbo or RL26 - 3,310fps in 26" tube.
80 TTSX with Hybrid 100V for 3,800fps
115-117gr bullets with Magnum or Retumbo powder for 3,250fps in my 26".

Agree. I had 2 different 25/06's that just loved IMR 4831 and the Sierra bullets mentioned. The 25/06 I have now seems to have a preference for Norma MRP and the Sierra 100 gr bullets. Great cartridge.

These are two loads I use in my 22" savage 111 25-06.

53.2 H4831
Fed 210 M
115 Berger HVLD
3110 fps
I've shot this load to 600 yards and if I do my part can get 4" groups. This as far as I want to shoot deer with this bullet.

49.8 H4350
Fed 210M
100 Barnes TTSX
3190 fps
