As far as insinuating... I was not, my point was that during his reign the most mud slinging was be done on these forums. I am far from anti-gun or anything close to it but of course I believe there is such a thing as "keeping it real". I appreciate your response Lee7588... we're sure to meet up again. Btw, I'd enjoy talking politics sometime... I'm always willing to learn... although I doubt we'll see that much real difference between us... 😂

I have great friends and a few family members that are democrats (old school) and one or two democraps ( socialist) we do talk politics from time to time depends on who else may be around. It gives all of us a different perspective, which is welcome and we may walk away with something more than what we brought. I don't think I was on here during Trump's presidency so I can't speak to that. We will all have opinions it makes a difference how we talk about them. I agree, I think people are more alike than what we realize. 😁

Caliber choices are tough for LH guns. I have 257wby (changed 25-06), 6.5-300wby (changed from 6.5-284Norma), 280ai (had 280ai), and two 338RPM's in the Weatherby's. All the Weatherbys are variants of the BC 2.0 family. I also have a 340wby I kept in RH.
In the Christensen , I have the Ridgeline FFT's 7-08 (had a 7-08 Wby) and 7mmPRC.
ALL the above rifles shoot sub MOA and a few sub half MOA with factory loads which was fantastic as I'm so busy, trying time to load is difficult.
As for caliber, I would consider that 6.5PRC over the 6.5CM more for wind bucking if you're hunting Muley's in the Coulies and plains.

2x 6.5-284Norma Ridgelines. Both shot about .4MOA. One with 129gr ABLR's, the other with 142gr ABLR's. (Hand loads)
1x 270win Ridgeline. Shot sub .4MOA (Hand loads) factory sub .75MOA
1x 6.5CM Ridgeline sub .5MOA (factory).
1x 338LAP ELR sub MOA (factory)
1x 280ai Ridgeline sub .5MOA (handloads) sub MOA factory.
1x 7mag Ridgeline sub .4MOA (handloads) sub MOA factory.
1x 450BM Mesa (still own) sub MOA (factory).
1 X MPR 6mmCM sub .5MOA factory.
My friends own the ones I have sold bar one that my buddy sold to one of his friends.
I now own 7-08 and 7PRC FFT Ridgelines and both are sub .5MOA
I have an MPR in 6mmARC on order.
That's 11 owned and one on the way.
That's a pretty good run of luck if they are bad rifles…. I think they work great.
I will be building a LH custom on a defiance action in 284win in the near future.

Here's the thing that I have learned if it's made by human hands even though they're using the same machines and tooling cutting things over and over again sooner or later you're going to have some that don't perform as good as others that's where the quality of the company that built it and how they rectify and fix the situation I had a brand new Remington 7600 back in the day that had maybe a hundred round shot through it and I had deer out on the field and instead of slamming the slide forward I closed it slowly well when I pulled the trigger everything exploded of course Remington said it was cuz I was shooting reloads but when I took it to a reputable gunsmith as they said the bull only closed about 3/4 of the way so everything blew back open one . I was lucky no serious injuries. So when you have something go right from a manufacturer that leaves a sour taste in your mouth just my two cents

I would use the rifle for Muleys and smaller. I am thinking 6.5 Creedmore or 6.5 PRC (although I wonder if 6.5 PRC is to much overlap with my 270win?). Generally I have always looked at rifles as a pure tool, always hit what I aim at with what I have. So this is a new direction for me.

Given the relatively low number of options I am thinking Christensen Arms Ridgeline or Ridgeline titanium, Weatherby Mark V Apex or Fierce Carbon Edge? With Fierce is there enough of a difference in performance between the Rival 2 lug action and the Triad 3 lug action that I should spec one over the other?

All thoughts are welcome on the three makers I am thinking about or others in the same price range I should consider? Ideally I would like to keep rifle and optics to no more than $5k.

I also have a BAR in 300 wm older steel receiver version, as far as your comparison of brands, understand your reasoning. I have purchased a CA Mesa, in 300 wm, shot so well, bought a Precision stock for it, looks cool too, fits me better about 2lbs heavier for my purpose should have bought the carbon fiber adjustable stock, I have no complaints about the rifle excellent fit and finish and handles well either stock. I have looked at the Mark V Weatherby I want one but the calibers were out of stock unsure of when the restock would occur for what/when I wanted to purchase, to match my timing. They appear to be excellent rifles and the Mark V I was able to shoot was very accurate, was great to handle and looked very nice, almost too pretty to shoot. But I don't own one yet. I know weatherby ammo is expensive but you may want to consider the weatherby 6.5 RPM, not sure if you reload. Creedmoor should do great for muleys, white tails, antelope. I have two 6.5 Creedmoor rifles one is the Bergara is an HMR shoots lights out, through the same hole if I do my part, as far as my Bergara I would buy another if the pricepoint and caliber fit the need. For the 6.5 caliber on the Fierce not sure you are gaining much in your price range between the 2 lug and 3 lug offerings, not being an expert would recommend that you reach out to Fierce. I was looking at hotter 6.5 calibers PRC, 6.5 x 300 and the 6.5 RPM but I have decided to go up to the 7mm, why? The 7mm PRC has caught my eye and in the near future will do what you are doing for a 7mm PRC, have fun in your search let us know what you decide on.
