I posted a thread a few weeks back about load for TTSX that was relatively slow and I received comments about possible expansion issues I may have at 400 yards. I I was able to work up a new load using 150 grain accubonds that I feel should be good to 400 yards on deer. It is between .5-.75MOA for accuracy at 300 yards so I am good there. It was chronod at about 2850fps. Ballistic calculators state I should still be around 2000fps at 400 yards. Nosler recomends minimum of 1800fps for proper expansion so I think I should be ok. Most shots will be under 200 yards but I have 1 field that does have a 400 yard shot. I have sat on this field for the past 4 years a handful of times and have yet to have a deer present itself at the 400 yard mark, most shots I have had are in the woods around this field in other stands. I just want to make sure I will be able to put a deer down with this load at that end of the field if needed. thanks!
