New H100V Change?

I got a new 8lb of H100V in and it appears to be different than the older H100V I bought some years ago. (2016-17?)

Old version was ball powder and extruded powder. New powder is all extruded powder of two shades.

Getting the new powder in the case with the same charge now requires a drop tube and is compressed.

Anybody else experience this?

I use H100V in my .243 and I have had no issues at all. It measures great. I load 42 grs of H100V using Hornady 108 gr eldms. I purchased my powder 2 years ago.

Right? Maybe Hodgdon decided to make it more temp stable with use of all extruded?

I just bought a sealed case of 1lb bottles and it's the same style ball powder as my old stock from 2017 and 2020-21. Makes me wonder what the new burn rate will be like… keep us posted, good luck!

This has got my attention.
I have been seriously looking at this powder to try in my 7mags and 300 win.
It sounds strange to me that they would completely change the design of the powder without saying something about it, or am I just being silly?

New: 2795fps ave (All extruded)

Pretty much what I expected. Gonna stuff .5gr more of the new and see if I can get 2840s.
