Sure be nice to at least have a firmware update for a few of these new features. The resume session has been my one major complaint with the original. And it shouldn't take a new unit to get it

I've bought Garmin crap for years and years. Bought the first GPS they ever made...
Keep your C1 for 3 years and then trade up, cause it will probably stop working after 3 years. The screen will probably become so dem that it's useless. Garmin builds obsolescence into their products.

I just bought a V1 from Cabelas. My lab radar stopped working, and gave me the excuse I needed to buy a Garmin. My new unit is supposed to be delivered today…

I had about $800 into my LabRadar with all the accessories. I just about gave it away and ate the $40 shipping to boot. The (then) newly released Garmin cost me $599 plus NYS tax (ouch). Now the latest and greatest is released. Sometimes you just can't win.
