Does anyone have experience with the latest Rinos? My buddy and I have the 650s and the radio portion left a lot to be desired this year hunting. We would just get rid of them and go to walkie talkies, but like the fact you can send locations to each other.

I've got the 755T I use it for snowmobiling in the mountains the radio blows on them to. So much so that I've been considering using a separate radio just for talking. The location feature is the main reason, it's way easier to find a guy stuck in the bush when you can pinpoint his location vs trying to verbally explain it.

We all run 650's and my cousin picked up a 750 last year. No appreciable improvements in the radio, and some annoying usability features that I wasn't a fan of. Might have just been a learning curve, but the 650 felt more intuitive to me than the 750. Didn't seem worth the money to upgrade.

We got them as a group because my grandpa always took naps while hunting and would miss our designated meeting spot/time by several hours. The rinos let us track and find him when needed. We found the location will update at a longer range than the radio would work, so we could just trek toward the location dot until the radio finally started connecting.

I think you're best off just buying better, separate radios and using the garmin as a gps only.

I have a love/hate with the last decade of rhinos. We use them with blue chart for communication between boat and skiff as they do a frs system like marine ais. Works good in the fog...well when they work.

Currently have some 755ts. Ran 655ts until they weren't worth fixing. Hopefully the 755s are better, we always had a spare of the 655s as they broke sometimes faster than the warranty could fix them. Mostly mic related issues, but we lost a screen or two and a transmitter. Garmin was always tops about fixing them even out of warranty they fixed them for reasonable price. Cutrently they are one of a kind, so we keep buying and fixing them. The old garmin hand and car units were like Nokia phones.... the rhinos aren't.

*Went and looked in my pelican of radios, looks like we lost a ptt button on one this summer and it needs sent out. That was always the week link.

I guess the tldr is they work but break, but no one else makes anything equal so....
