New defiance 300 wm, proof barrel

Hey all, building my first custom rifle and am going with a defiance long action and a proof 300wm sendero profile. Question is as of right now I don't plan to reload as factory ammo is readily available which is great, when having the gunsmith chamber the barrel and what not do I specify any particular projectile or do you just chamber it to a "general" spec? Any info helps thanks.

Your gunsmith should be able to help you with that decision, but if you don't have a specific case and bullet in mind, a SAAMI spec chamber is likely going to be the answer.

From what I was reading I think that's the right way to go in my current situation. Thank you

If/since you're not using a specific weight and using a specific length over all (for custom throating) saami is the way to go.

I get saami chambers to start and throat accordingly with uni-throaters. I have throaters in most of what calibers (not cartridges) I shoot.
