This has a 22' barrel and APA fat bastard and is shorter than a standard action by 9". Shoots .mil work Ammo just fine too.

Desert tech srs covert can shoot from 5.56 to 338 LM.

i'm building almost the same rifle but i'm on a daycare budget, so no folding stock for me. i bought a used HS precision stock and i'm going with a green mountain barrel at 16" in .308 and a 1-10 twist. it'll fling 175 gr bullets no prob which will kill anything i can find on the east coast. i'll probably have the barrel fluted to save weight since i'll also be running a suppressor. for a scope, i'm going with the lightest weight 1-8 or 2-10 that i can find.

If you are willing to think outside the box a bit, I'd recommend the Howa miniaction in 6.5 grendel.
