New Build w/16" barrel...?

Hey man have you looked at desert tech?

This has a 22' barrel and APA fat bastard and is shorter than a standard action by 9". Shoots .mil work Ammo just fine too.

Yeah, but an '06 isn't really much longer. And that opens up a whole plethora of cartridges. Decisions, decisions!
 
i'm building almost the same rifle but i'm on a daycare budget, so no folding stock for me. i bought a used HS precision stock and i'm going with a green mountain barrel at 16" in .308 and a 1-10 twist. it'll fling 175 gr bullets no prob which will kill anything i can find on the east coast. i'll probably have the barrel fluted to save weight since i'll also be running a suppressor. for a scope, i'm going with the lightest weight 1-8 or 2-10 that i can find.
