New brass

Yeah I am with you I am not to concerned with the extra steps in the process I just want to make sure everything is consistent in my process

it is nosler brass.
When using Nosler brass I'd check concentricty and look for dents. If the chamfer looked good and everything is straight I ran mine. If I questioned it I either fix dents with a mandrel or ran them for a partial resize to clean up necks.

I always FL resize new brass. The one time I skipped that step I ended up getting misfires, due to excess headspace I suspect.

How does FL sizing fix excessive headspace? The answer is it can't unless the brass is necked up and back down to create a false shoulder or the bullets are jammed to keep the case against the bolt face.
