I just make sure the case mouth's are round ( by passing over a mandrel) load and fire. I do all the rest after the cases are once fired. Just my way.

First firing I just make sure the necks are round and trim if too long. Cases need to be fired before you really know what you have to sort and prep for precision. No sense adding oil to blown motor.

Quick chamfer and deburr, a little dry lube in the neck, throw in a primer and bang! Plenty of time to get all anal after you fire it once.. Having said all that.. I have got some most impressive groups from virgin brass.

Lots of great info above ... I debur flash holes , chamfer necks, and u inform primer pockets
